We display prices that are listed on the provider's price transparency page. We have not been able to locate a negotiated rate for your insurance plan, so you will need to contact Lower Bucks Hospital directly for a price estimate.
As part of the US Government's Price Transparency Final Rule, hospitals are required to publish rates that they have negotiated with insurance plans. Our goal is to make it easy to compare those prices, but we are limited by the data made available by the provider.
If Lower Bucks Hospital has additional rates available that we don't have listed, please let us know.
An evaluation through measurement of fetal nuchal translucency is a prenatal procedure used to assess the risk of certain chromosomal abnormalities and birth defects in the fetus.
This procedure is usually recommended for pregnant women over the age of 35, or for any woman whose prenatal screening tests have indicated a risk for genetic conditions and chromosomal abnormalities.
During the procedure, an ultrasound is performed to measure the thickness of the tissue at the back of the fetus's neck. This measurement is then compared with ultrasound measurements of other parts of the fetus, such as the head and abdomen.
After the procedure, results will be discussed with the mother. If the risk of the baby having a chromosomal abnormality such as Down syndrome, is higher, further testing may be recommended.
